Notes:
- Chaluul's Curse remake is an adventure game written in Adventure Game Studio.
- Originally released in 1995 for DOS and in German language only as a bonus game on the cover CD of the German games magazine "PC Spiel", issue 11/1995.
- This remake is freeware and made for Windows, Linux and Mac.
- Several puzzles are slightly rewritten to make them more logical.
- Contains many extra responses to player actions
- Cycle through and select a mouse cursor is handled by the familiar right-click of the mouse. In the original game it is handled via clickable, always on-screen mouse icons buttons (look/use/talk/examine).
- Music is added for the start-menu, the intro, all rooms, and all cutscenes.
- Scrolling to the next 'page' of a response text in stead of to the next line.

thank you!
very good
Thank you, glad you like it.
Hi. Thanks for bringing Chaluul back once again. TIKWA will surely appreciate it that his original German game is now available in English. Feel free to check out my version of "Chaluul's Curse" for the C64 under Chaluul's Curse - Chapter 1 by Sönke Wolfgramm (itch.io)
hi, thank you. I already noticed your c64 version, it's a very nice remake with a bit of a demake flavor, well done. Your remake is also mentioned (with itch link) in the 'game history' section in the help in my remake :)
Just finished the game. Well done. The atmospheric music really adds to the experience and to have the puzzles a little adjusted to be more logical and the new menu system were smart moves. :-) Btw, how did you take notice of this game?
Thank you!
I found out about this game via IndieRetroNews which reported about your released remake. As I'm always on the lookout for 'lost gems' as I call these obscure, often non-english games, I felt this one definately deserved a remake/port to Windows, Linux and Mac as well. And so it was done :)
I see. Then maybe you might also be interested in "Die Nacht des grünen Meteors". Available on the Cover CD of "PC Spiel" issue 3/95.

Same developer, same menu system.
I for sure will check that one out as well, thank you for the info!
Again making another excellent remake, very nice atmosphere simple interface, puzzles that will give you to think about.
Congratulations on this new release, very well done! 👏
Thank you for (a) the comment and (b) for the testing work you put into this plus (c) for providing the mac image :)
